Built on Collaboration.
Driven by Science.

A regional initiative designed to transform how North Africa approaches climate action, through shared standards, open data, and certified expertise.

VISION

A North Africa That Speaks One Climate Language

We aspire to create a coherent and supportive regional ecosystem, where expertise, data, and methodologies are shared freely to accelerate the low-carbon transition.

Our conviction is that cross-border cooperation is the most powerful lever to amplify climate impact across the region. When Morocco learns from Tunisia, when Algeria's data informs Egypt's decisions, the whole region advances faster than any country could alone.

The Alliance does not replace national efforts, it amplifies them by creating a shared infrastructure of knowledge, tools, and human capital.

CONTEXT

The Right Moment for Regional Action

Regulatory pressure is mounting, climate risks are materializing, and the window to act is narrowing. The Alliance was created because waiting is no longer an option.

Climate Urgency

North Africa is among the world's most climate-vulnerable regions, rising temperatures, water stress, and desertification demand immediate, coordinated response.

Regulatory Momentum

CSRD, carbon border adjustments, and national climate laws are creating a new compliance reality that organizations must prepare for, now.

A Unique Opportunity

By building shared infrastructure now, before national silos harden, the Alliance can shape the regional climate architecture for decades to come.

GOVERNANCE

Structured for Agility and Representation

A flexible governance model designed to promote operational speed while ensuring balanced representation of countries, sectors, and disciplines.

Level 1

Scientific Committee

Strategic direction provided by a scientific committee composed of recognized experts across disciplines, climate science, economics, policy, and engineering, representing each country in the Alliance.

Level 2

Executive Board

Operational coordination by an executive board that ensures both geographical diversity (five countries) and sectoral balance (public, private, academic, and civil society).

Level 3

Institutional Members

Organizations, companies, universities, and public institutions formally engaged in the Alliance's mission, contributing expertise, resources, and regional reach.

Level 4

Individual Members

Inclusive participation open to individual climate professionals at different levels of engagement, from active contributors to certified members of the Alliance network.
